Our 5 Guiding Principles

1. Freedom to choose

Our ethos is to allow the maximum freedom to invest through a SIPP or SSAS. Our products allow members the choice of an extensive range of investments. We also operate a ‘whole of market’ approach, members are not restricted to using a panel of investment advisers or stockbrokers, instead they can appoint one of their choice.

We’re well known for our flexibility and willingness to accommodate. As a result, our Property experts have purchased a highly diverse range of investments for our clients,
including a Museum, a Curry House and a Stud Farm! Unlike many SIPP and SSAS providers we also consider investments in unlisted shares, again demonstrating the freedom we offer our
members.

After all, SIPPs and SSASs were designed to allow maximum scope when investing.

2. Owning your own assets

At Hornbuckle Mitchell, we believe the owner of the Pension should be allowed to be the owner of its assets. It sounds obvious, but it’s rare in the industry.

We set up our SIPPs under a Supplemental Deed arrangement whereby the client and Hornbuckle Mitchell are both co-trustees. This gives the client full control over their assets and peace of mind that their pension is secure.

3. Commitment to service excellence

At Hornbuckle Mitchell we have an overriding commitment to service excellence and have specialist administrative departments in all 4 of our regional offices.

Many of our technical experts have been with us since our early days and have built up an enviable knowledge base. Our regular customers know them by name and enjoy a warm, personal service.

4. Support for Financial Advisers

Our SIPP and SSAS products are only available through Financial Advisers as we believe they are best placed to understand individual clients’ needs. Our national team of 7 Trustee Consultants are always on hand to support Financial Advisers and their clients.

Hornbuckle Mitchell is the only large specialist SIPP Provider who, as a matter of policy, does not provide administration services to Insurance Companies. Our total commitment is to Financial Adviser and their clients.

5. Highly Competitive Fees

Our simple, transparent fee structure means you only pay for what you need, when you need it. We don’t routinely charge time-based fees for non-standard work.

Our fee schedules can be found in the SIPP,FIPP and SSAS sections of this site.
